I was there too (I guess I did see shows as late as '89).

Anyways, I recall leaving from LI with a friend and making him stop at the beer store so I could spend all my money on Schaefer 'suitcases'. The reason being that beer stores are not open on Sunday in Mass and I figured we would need libations and at the same time I could provide a 'service' by giving away cans of beer for $1 dollar donations. My friend was wholeheartedly against my idea so did not invest (he did feel free to drink however). Needless too say we had a great time, I did make my money back, made lots of thirsty friends, gave away lots of beer etc etc etc

Oh, and small tabs of paper were involved that day.

And my friend was going to VT the next day so I had to find my other LI friend at the show for a ride home, this is pre cell phone so it was no simple task. My strategy was to keep moving, so I just kept on dancing and grooving around the stadium and eventually ran smack into my ride back to LI.

Funny how it always seemed to work out ok like that (re: ride home) you reminded me of a similar circumstance years earlier – under the influence, totally grooving on the music and scene, but some anxiety about meeting up with the ride. Great times for sure…
